With a small team, held responsibility for the tone of Fusion, the Web-based news site supporting Network World, a weekly, national industry publication focused on networking technologies. Worked closely with reporters, both internal and via a news service, to ensure every story met or exceeded the publication's high news standards. Gathered, edited and posted daily news to the site, decided story placement and honed overall news focus. Edited 20 e-mail newsletters per week on a range of networking technologies. Worked closely with a variety of experts/writers to set deadlines, usher copy through various stages and ensure quality/timeliness. Newsletter topics included wireless LANs, product reviews, network servers, management strategies, messaging technologies, security and virus alerts, optical networking, voice/data convergence, wide-area networks, Windows NT and Windows networking.

Editor, Corporate Portals Letter (12/99 - 9/00)
Conceived and implemented start-up 16-page monthly newsletter targeting developers
of corporate and enterprise portals. Researched topics, garnered sources, conducted
interviews with both news makers and case study candidates. Wrote all articles, including
news, features, briefs, product spotlights, and case studies. Edited newsletter for
content, grammar and consistency. Designed the publication using PageMaker 6.5 (PC).
Developed all stylesheets. Performed all article layout. Created all accompanying graphics
and charts. Worked directly with production and printer to ensure timely delivery of
newsletter to approximately 1,000 paid subscribers.
Editor, I/S Analyzer Case Studies (2/96 - 9/00)
Researched, wrote and edited monthly 16-page newsletter. Published three case studies per
month, with accompanying analysis, focused on early adopters of leading-edge technologies.
Topics included corporate portals, Java, ATM, voice over IP, Web blocking software,
wireless LANs, IS staff retention and Year 2000 testing. Handled all layout, including
text, charts and graphics, using Microsoft Word 6.0.
